I prefer to play games on a gamepad but the game was definetly designed for touchscreen in mind, as some of the tooltips are not accessible through gamepad controls but are accessible instead if you click them with a mouse (therefore simulating a touch event), not mentioning that big Cross button that can close the menu in the upper corner. The menus are clunky, for example accessing Save option from the menu requires 6 button presses.
My last big complaint would be menus - UI in general - and controls. Dungeons are tedious and unnecessarily long - which I think even developers noticed by introducing checkpoint system. It will come out on March 31, 2022, for PC and the Nintendo Switch, with releases also coming to iOS, tvOS, and Android platforms. Step into the role of a young hero, and gather your favorite Coromon to create a powerful team.
I decided to change the rating to positve, given that my opinion was more of a neutral one, and also due to the fact that the game is still being improved with new patches coming on monthly basis. Coromon, a monster-taming old-school indie RPG, finally has a release date.
